The wrong assembly of curl-hooks may lead to very dangerous situations. Therefore pay careful attention to the points listed below when assembling: (1) The hole should be so pre-drilled, that the core of the thread is properly enclosed by the wood. (2) The hook must be screwed in so deeply, that the woodthread is no longer visible. (3) The hook should be assembled transversely to the direction of swinging (as a result the ring will roll rather than slide, reducing wear and tear to a minimum). (4) Both hook and ring to be greased frequently. Minimal material diameter of the ring 9 mm. WARNING! These curl-hooks are not suited to be used as swing-hooks; for this purpose we advise you to use the safety swing-hooks.
